15 Of The Ugliest Concept Cars You’ll Regret Seeing

Concept cars are supposed to show us what the future holds for the car industry. They should be exciting, and they should make us feel that the future couldn’t come faster. Moreover, they should make us want to drive or ride these cars. However, instead of wowing us, it seems that more and more concept cars are getting crazier than ever. Not only do these concept cars look super weird; you’ll even be contemplating whether it’s possible for them to exist 10 to 20 years from now.

Oftentimes, car manufacturers reveal concept cars to show their vision for the automotive industry. For instance, they show through concept cars how powerful future cars can be, what other options we have in powering future cars (gasoline is no longer the sole option), how can we make cars safer, and more. The idea of driverless cars, which is now already being tested by several companies, started as a concept car. That’s the hope for many – to turn concept cars into reality.

As we move forward, although there are still conservative concept cars, there are those that blow our minds – and not in a good way. Although innovative, some concept cars are just out of this world in a bad way. You can even think that there’s no way that a car as such will ever hit the pavement.

So, let’s take a look at some of the worst concept cars because most if not all of these will never see daylight.

One of the craziest concept cars around is the Rinspeed Oasis. This concept car was revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 (CES 2017), where it got quite a lot of attention – and not in a good way.

On the outside, you may think that it just looks weird, but it seems like there’s nothing completely wrong with that. It doesn’t look like your average car of the present, but you may say that it might fit the bill in the future. However, what makes this one of the worst concept cars around is the idea that it comes with a fully functional garden onboard. That’s right! The Rinspeed Oasis has an actual garden filled with small shrubs, bonsais, and even a spot for your rosemary and thyme. The garden is located behind the windshield. Is this the “green car” of the future, literally?
